Brent and Laura fought off competition from hundreds of other wannabe models to come out on top. On the audition day in April at DV8′s flagship Belfast store an estimated two hundred and fifty hopefuls queued down the street in the hope that they would be chosen as the Face of DV8.

Fourteen finalists were selected and the winning boy and girl took the coveted titles. The winners will represent the DV8 brand in all advertising online and in-store for twelve months. They will also sign a contract with leading model agency Alison Campbell Models, receive £500 worth of DV8 clothes vouchers and have their hair styled by award-winning salon Paul Stafford Hairdressing for the year.

Gail Villiers from DV8, one of the competitions judges said; “We were looking for a guy and a girl with real presence who would be fashion ambassadors for DV8 and people who could make the most of this great opportunity. We know what we have found that in our winners and we look forward to working with them over the coming year.”

Face of DV8 judges also included model agency boss and organiser of the Miss Northern Ireland pageant Alison Campbell, celebrity hair dresser Paul Stafford and one of Ireland’s best known photographers Khara Pringle.

The winners’ first assignment was a fashion shoot with Khara Pringle at her County Down studio. The pictures from the shoot will be used in all twenty-two DV8 stores across Northern Ireland and Scotland and on the retailer’s website at www.dv8fashion.com The shoot was styled by hairstylists from Paul Stafford Hairdressing and Irish make-up artist of the Year 2009, Rosemary Wright.

Face of DV8 Carrie-Anne Burton, from Downpatrick, is going through to the final of RTE’s reality series The Model Agent, after wowing the judges again on last night’s show.

The Model Agent, being aired on RTÉ Two on Monday evenings, follows international model scout Ellis in her quest to find the best modelling talent on the island of Ireland.

There were originally twelve girls in the programme, but over the past four weeks they have been whittled down to the four who took part in the penultimate show. The four girls were judged on their performance in a professional fashion show and another one was eliminated – Laura Keohane from Cork. Only three models now remain for the finale of the show – Carrie-Anne, Amber Jean Rowan from Dublin and Sharon Touhey from Offaly. Ellis will take the girls to New York for the next challenge.

Only one winner can walk away with the prize, including a contract with Independent Models and a cover shoot for IMAGE magazine. Supermodels Erin O’Connor, Elizabeth Hurley and Helena Christensen are all represented by Independent Models in London.

Carrie-Anne’s talent as a model was first spotted last year by the judges in the inaugural Face of DV8 model search. Judges included model agency owner Alison Campbell, award-winning hairdresser Paul Stafford and one of Ireland’s best-known photographers Khara Pringle.

Carrie-Anne will feature in the final Model Agent programme on RTE Two next Monday 25 May at 10.25pm.

The Face of DV8, Carrie-Anne Burton, has progressed to the next stage of the RTE reality TV model search – The Model Agent. She is one of only 4 girls remaining after last night’s programme! Next week one of the contestants goes to Paris for a fashion shoot and then 3 girls will be taken to New York for the penultimate show. Let’s hope Carrie-Anne is one of them. The show airs next on Monday 18 May on RTE 2 at 10.25pm.

Hair stylist Lee Stinton from Stafford Hairdressing and make-up artist Paddy McGurgan did a fantastic job as always. DV8′s summer collections look great against this stunning classical backdrop, which accentuates the colours and styles on offer – from the the range of naturals and floral prints in the ladies collections to the bright coloured polos and checked shorts shorts in the men’s.
