Nineteen year old Carrie-Anne Burton, from Downpatrick, the current female Face of DV8, is understood to be one of the contestants on an upcoming reality TV programme to find the next Irish supermodel!
The programme, being aired from April 20 on RTÉ Two, will follow international model scout Ellis, Director of New Faces at London agency Independent Models, in her quest to find the best modelling talent on the island of Ireland.
Carrie-Anne’s talent as a model was first spotted last year by the judges in the inaugural Face of DV8 model search. Carrie-Anne Burton (19) from Downpatrick and Aaron Kearney (18) from Portadown beat almost four hundred young hopefuls to take the 2008 Face of DV8 titles.
The Model Agent is an elimination-based TV programme that follows contestants through the judging process, until one winner walks away with the prize, including a contract with Independent Models in London and a cover shoot for IMAGE magazine. Supermodels Liz Hurley, Lizzie Jagger, Iman and Helena Christensen are all represented by Independent Models.
The male and female winner of the 2009 Face of DV8 competition will represent the DV8 brand in all advertising online and in-store for a year. They also get a year-long contract with Alison Campbell Models, £500 worth of DV8 clothes vouchers and hair styling by Paul Stafford Hairdressing. Contestants do not have to have modelling experience.
Registration forms and rules of entry for the Face of DV8 are available at DV8 stores and online at www.dv8fashion.com The closing date for the receipt of postal entries is Monday 13 April, but contestants can also register at the auditions, being held at DV8’s flagship store on Belfast’s Castle Place at 9.30am on Thursday 16 April.
